Sorry for the aparté, I'm quite clueless with NS bikes...
What's the deal with the Proclaimer?
How did the faces of the Reid twins end on the seattube of a BMX ?
Did I miss something?
-
I'm not sure wot the deal is with that!
We need Trev to explain, where is he when you need him eh?

i would think it's just irony? but you have to admit they look cool don't they :daumenhoch:
-
The Proper Proclaimer was designed by Drew & Dave Sowerby. A couple of brothers from Scotland. If you were to think of two Scottish Brothers, a lot of people would think of The Proclaimers. It was quite funny actually seeing as the real Proclaimers had been out of the limelight for many years and after the frame had come out, they had a little revival. 8) 8)

cheers
i started that frame about a year ago by cutting the rear end , it hasnt cracked yet :)
i wanted to cut a seat tube years ago but a mate sid it would be too stressed , i knew it isnt that stressed an area but didnt bother until seeing the eastern grimreaper
so out came the drill :D
i might enlarge the holes at some point but i fancied riding it so bunged it together
those forks weigh sooo much more than my s&m race
i managed to shave about half a pound from the frame :) so its about 5.5lbs now

cheers kinda like the snap gear as you can see just waiting for the quick release seat clamps to come out, the brake is an fmf it has loads of travel like the paul brakes and its very stiff works very well and looks good too.

I remember reading something about them working on a new kevin jones ride last year (on here maybe?) but didn't realise it had been sorted yet.

After having a nightmare trying to get one of these off ebay, I finally got one by chance from Street Mafia, I asked how much it would be for a new one, but they couldn't get hold of one as S&M has stopped doing the L.A.F, but they did have this one for £85 posted, used and in need of a respray, I took the offer up and it arrived a week later. I gave it a coat of Ford Tuscan Beige I had left. Next challenge was the Decals, tried everywhere to no avail before finally contacting S&M, spoke to Chris moeller about ordering some ,and to my surprise he said he'd find me some and send them for free!! Then to my horror he said there weren't any I said not to worry but thanks for having a look, then next day he got back and had found a set in the sticker room and had cut them out and stuck em in the post! S&M rules!!
So here it is hope you like it..........

how mad is the motobike one lol
-
This is 6 years old now, bought in '02 and with a few parts changed on it now.
- Hoffman 48's w/flip flop so I could run a smaller freewheel - the freecoaster that came with it was fun, but I don't normally run one .
- T1 36 tooth chainwheel.
- Rolls San Marco seat (very posh!) with road bike or mtb post (?)
- Odyssey pedals.
I've changed the grips and tyres as they wore.
Apart from all that, it's stock out the box!
Out the box...

Radhab - you gonna post the pic to go with it so we can see how beautiful it is?
You bringing it to novice night? Wouldn't mind trying it out if you don't mind - I've got the Proper TTL mk1 which some small bars on it but thinking of Lumberjacks or some TTL bars as it feels a bit low.

think winstanleys and a few other shops have the odd 1 lying around for around 50-80 quid. top deal. check on the net.
the bars are suelo gomez bars (the new ones are very much the same except stem may require slight filing as the come in narrower at the stem-welded now rather than 2 piece bars. light though.
stem is the demolition (either f1 or f40 )

here's my new school ride, updated and how it was when i rode it last:
Colony Endevour Frame & forks.
Can't remember what the bars were, Colongy summat or other.
front wheel is just a generic 10mm axle with Alex rim
rear wheel is an Ody cassette hub with a 10t one piece driver and a hazard lite rim
tyres are cheng shin kevlar freestyler, get em from Asda.
chain is a generic chain, got a half link chain but not fitted it yet.
seat is a colony pivotal and pivotal post
cranks are just generic colony ones, or ones that come on a colony bike
brake is some cheapo thing and needs replacing
tech 77 lever
S&M Redneck XLT Union Jack patter
Ody Aaron Ross grips
Colony chain ring...forget how many teeth 30 maybe
Shimano DX pedals
Pegs: two sets, one well used by Ian (subversion) and one set i got from Trev. i haven't managed to use either set yet.
