Title: A mongoose rider question
Post by: traffman on February 24, 2008, 10:38 PM
Im in the process of building a nice Mongoose cali , ive got the frame , hset, bars stem and z rims.
Any way my question is im 13 stone and slightly taller than i was 22 years ago . So i will ride this bike , however i wont race or jump it .
Im slightly worried about bending it , will i be ok just riding it? , cannot be that fragile ...can it?

nah...tuff as old boots.

get it on a track or vert, and im sure youll start seeing its limitations, but for general riding youll be fine

It will be fine, just treat it with a bit of respect, don't forget it is over 20 years old now.

I have a mate about the same build as you who rides a Cali, races it sometimes too. it's been fine.
The main problem is the 18" TT length if you are really tall.

Either way you will have fun  :daumenhoch:
