anyone know what diameter the axle is for mid school fishbone 3 piece crank please
-
:) Not sure,but think they were 20mm?
-
dont know but while i clicked on this im reading a 96 issue of ride and they are in new stuff :2funny:
"from the makers of the excellent ufo gyro system comes a set of three piece chromoly cranks . in terms of tubing used for the crank arms , these are beefier than comparable american-made 3pc cranks - the tubing used for the arms is heat treated 4130 cromoly ( theyre also heat treated after welding ) , the wall thickness of the tubing is 1.6mm and both ends are pierced for strength . the axle is also heat treated cromoly and splined for the crank arms . the kit comes with all the spacers and washers youll ever need , bolts to keep everything tight and a set of sealed precision bearing cartridges . the cranks will fit all sizes of chainwheels . all in , they look dead beefy and given all the facts theyre plenty strong - and the price is right , £169.99 for the set . well be testing some soon "

Probably 20mm at the bearings, reducing to 19mm where the splines are (19mm sprocket size too).
-
:) The earlier Gusset cranks are like that-20mm at the bearing part, regular 19mm at the axle.

Yep,spot on.20mm at the bearings,19mm at the splines.I`m running a set of these on my `84 Performer, they seem pretty good.............
