Pedal backwards ?
do you mean when stationary you can rotate the pedals backwards or do you mean like a unicycle if you pedal backwards the wheel moves backwards

I'm sure Woody Itson (hutch) had a switchable freewheel that would allow you to lock the freewheel so you could ride the bike like a unicycle.
Bit like the freecoaster adapter you can get

Ya thats what i mean , how do i get my bike to do that? , it would be gr8.
thanks

I dont think they were that popular when they were launched, so will be mega rare

The freecoaster is for coaster brakes.
Your turn it on so when you pedal backwards it engages the coaster brake or you unscrew two screws so that the brake doesn't engage. It means when you roll backwards you don't have to pedal backwards as with a normal freewheel.
I think he is talking about a fixed gear. One that you pedal forwards it goes forwards. You pedal backwards you go backwards.
Fixed wheel instead of Freewheel.
Didn't wheelie specialists like Craig Strong use a Fixed wheel?

If its a fixed gear you are after you want a track sprocket with a lockring, miche are as good as any :daumenhoch:

i'm sure woody itson had a switchable fixed wheel so he could get up in to a cherry picker and then ride around
