this may be a stuipd question but what do i have to be legal 1" steerer tube and caliper brake on seat stays ,but anything else
wheels tyres cranks or does that not matter  please help   cheers nick

Yep.......if you adhere to the rules by the letter of the law (so to speak) all you have to have is a 1" threaded headset and caliper brake.

but in the spirit of OS and fairplay i would try and use as many OS parts as i could.

mate its going to be wet and as well as Daggers drains you are going to want more grip than usual so yeah comp 3's will be fine - ive changed from my normal lower tread profile to comps.

now all ive got to do is sort which gearing....
