Am torn between 6 :(
-
Some of my fav’s: Dans "Robinson", radmans "judge",matts “pro class
But i new all along i'd vote for Stu’s Gold Hutch .. best bike this year by far.
-
It has to be the Pro Burner. Looks like it has just come out of the shop.
Didn't think they actually ever sold any of em. :o
I remember when I got my Burner back in 82, I saw the Pro in the Raleigh brochure and really wanted one. Only ever saw one in a shop though.
It's a damn good effort and deserves the votes.
-
was between muxters torker, matt's blue red race inc., jese's trickstar but eventually the DY cmae out on top for me. Like the red white and chrome colourscheme. Nice work Jon. I would have voted for reily's centurion but it isn't in the comp. Like that flaired trouser bmx loads.
-
hey, what happened to my cardboard bike???
;D
-
Shite yeah...julians "Pro" another in my fav list.
-
If it had been powdercoated baby blue, I might have voted for it Si!! :LolLolLolLol:
-
That Pro is awesome. Not a bike I would buy, but you have to give it the credit it deserves.
-
I was going to put it in Si, but I thought it might have won what with the sence of humour we have on here :crazy2:
-
Nice Curtis, but a bit too common for my liking.
-
Some seriously good builds gentlemen, You all deserve a huge pat on the back.
I was torn between 4 , and went with my heart not my head.
Rich
-
Si I have just unlocked the other thread so add your bike to the end :coolsmiley:
-
cheers Billy - sorry for being such a knob!
-
jono's jmc dy.love it love it,what a good looking bike!well done. tjj :santa_afro:
-
made my vote and didnt vote for mine but especially like tonys race inc and the pro class is nice .the orange streetbeat is oaky ish lol.and daves haro deserves a mention as its the first time weve seen or heard of it on this site .any bmx bike is a great bike as we all know unreastored or mint cost is irrelevant .great year guys and some nice bikes have turned up too .thabnks for a great entertaining year .well done to everyone irrelevant of who wins
-
Hi all - the vote is in. :santa_afro:
I just had to spend a few quite moments with pencil and paper and make notes of each build that just took me away. I have been browsing the pics for days. It is great that there are so many different builds, and that we all like different types because the result is that there are so many amazing bikes out there. I started with a Haro, 3 Hutches (and i'm not a big fan), JMC, Raleigh, Robinson and the MBK.
From the 8 at the start, and that was from being very ruthless as there are just so many Gems, I then picked down to 5, but could not get any lower.
In the end I voted from which bike I could imagine riding and that could take my weight and also give the grin factor - so as Rich did, in the end went with my heart.
Thanks all, I'm so glad to be back in a great hobby where so much time and pride is taken by all into their bikes, here's to an even better 2006 where more finished old school builds will come to light.....
Cheers.

-
aye, it was very hard with so many great bikes to choose from. I wont tell you what i voted for but close 2nd and 3rd were Frosty's Kuwahara and Mux's Torker 24
-
Really difficult, the standard is just so high so I vote for them all as equal 1st!
-
All amazing looking bikes, but ive made my choice :santa_smiley:
-
for me its julians pro burner all the way :santa_afro:
-
Why are the poll results being kept a secret till the end?
Would make great holiday viewing too see how the poll’s going.

Good idea!! Does it show who has voted for what bike in the results??
cheers J
-
Julians Pro Burner for me too. It was a close one between that and the good lady Radmans Hutch.
-
There are some insane bikes up there!! May the best bike win! :santa_afro:
-
My vote is cast ....do we get to keep the winning bike :santa_afro:Merry Xmas one and all have a good one
-
Wow, that was really difficult. Some absolutely gorgeous metal there.
Hope I can achieve a fraction of that standard in 2006.
Keep up the outstanding work fellow Radders :santa_afro:
-
Well I have to say that it has been a pleasure checking out all these great rides. As most of you have mentioned, it wasn't easy as there are some insanely good BMX's there, from the beautiful white MRD to that incredible gold plated Pro Star. My vote finally went to Dan-Dares chrome Robinson though, as there's something about it which, for me, really captures what it's all about. The next thing to do though guys, before you go out and get toasted for Christmas, is to stick all those wonderful rides into the gallery so I can drool over them some more. :santa_afro:
-
It was down to 3 for me. Sorry Muxter, but you're too far away for me to ever get to see yours, so you're out. Jon, that DY is sooo gorgeous, but a bike without a brake won't win for me. So that goes to my 3rd choice. My vote is cast.

-
wow !! the bar has really been raised in the last year or so, its nice to see more than the usual suspects building some amazing rides. it was a really difficult decision but my vote has been cast, good luck to everyone and a massive well done !! those boys over the pond have nothing on us uk guys ;)
merry xmas guys and gals and keep up the good work
-
I would also like to congratulate all on Radbmx for the superb extremely high quality builds, we really have some amazing bikes on this site.
Lets not forget that many of us on here have numerous builds that could have been added, but due to Bike of the Year rules only 1 build was allowed.
Well done everyone.
-
done my vote it was very hard radman come 2nd and thrid was dan dare all the bikes are winners in my eye
happy xmas to you all
-
Julian's Pro gets my vote. Incredible.
Radhabs Streetbeat is close second.

Sorry but it would spoil the suspence if you could see the voting before the end, and I`m afraid the votes can`t be changed :idiot2:
-
oh no !! does this mean rom blokes haro or chubs turbo lite will win !! :LolLolLolLol: i didnt mention its ginna be a fix !! :santa_afro: merry xmas everyone and may the best admin memeber win :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol:
-
We can`t change them either Lee, but I will say that having two bikes from the same households don`t help as the vote gets split between the bikes :LolLolLolLol:
-
finally decided......only taken 2 days to decide between 5 of the entries.
-
Too be honest. i would like to own any of them, top work everyone!! :)
-
Some really nice bikes here and for me it was extremely hard to decide . . . my vote finally went to MrsPKRadman-Hutch Judge
AWESOME ::)
-
so the bribe of haveing mr stupple on a rare regional tv show won't swing an entry even
- :D
-
bill wheres ya gen one? u ever gonna finish that thing?
-
Cast my vote: Frosty's Kuwahara awesome ride. Took me absolutely ages to decide as I was struggling with description best bike and what goes to make the best bike. To me every bike that was entered was a winner truely fantastic builds Dudes well done :santa_afro:. In the end Frosty's bike just nudged it for me but to be fair it could have been any of them.
-
It sure is difficult. Frostys is one of my 6...not just 'cause it's a Ku.....all the robinsons are doing it for me too......couple of freestylers......All the entrants are excellent examples.
-
wow how do you pick one out of that lot
each one is a top build on its own
-
had to go with sir radmans changa
i loved it when i 1st seen it
but i must say the laserlite, robinson, the jmc,the magnificant trickstars etc etc were so close
but the spin off was between roms gen one and dave's tangy skyway for 2nd and 3rd
more to the candy red amazing trickstar
al of you regardless are winners far to many to menion im sure you will all agree
stu
-
Hey thanks stu!! Your Pro Star is a nice ride Too!! :santa_afro:
-
needs to lose the white parts though, Jon, to be honest.
-
PKRADMAN's Changa sure is a looker - strikes me that it needs a little competition. hhmmmmmmm...................................
-
dont you think the red dys are really hard to colour match ?, im having nightmares with mine. ive tried red, blue white and black and still no joy !!
-
It's a hard one as all the bikes submitted are fantastic, a real treat. Julian's beautiful Burner, the 24k Hutch, that MAD Zeronine, and all the rest..... :)
I voted Zippy's Robinson though, great build and it's just such a gorgeous looking bike, real purrdy !
-
Wow that was hard but my vote is cast! it had to go to Zippys Robinson, theres just somthing so minimalist about it. :)
A very close 2nd has to be the Pro Burner, looks better than i remember they did! ;D
-
dont you think the red dys are really hard to colour match ?, im having nightmares with mine. ive tried red, blue white and black and still no joy !!
... have to agree matt a red DY is the hardest one to make look the bizzzzz ,ya best bet is all chrome parts but thats just my opinion
-
Matskybeats pro class for me, because of the before and after pics, quality restore job :coolsmiley:
-
spose I best get deciding....
-
it's VERY tough trying to choose...a lot of stand out bikes there.
-
There are two standout bikes that only have 1 vote between them, so make sure that you get your vote in before the voting closes tomorrow evening as it could be the deciding vote :santa_afro:
-
not long now.
-
some time today somebody will be very happy ;)
congratulations to all entrants, all very nice bikes :santa_afro:
so who's it gonna be then :knuppel2: ;D
-

So to think, A burner 'Bike of the year'! Well done Ju looks the dogs nuts. And congrats to everyone else, the standard was very high.
-
well done julian....your burner was a worthy winner mate.
i think all the bikes entered were of a mega high standard.
well done all
Dave
-
fook me.
-
a burner won! Foooook me! ye gypsy sympathisin bastards! :D
-
fook me.
I'm still stunned!! Someone said to me the other night that this yeay they are gonna enter a Meteorlite and should win hands down and i said that they will come second to my dog Turd with a pair of z-rims and a pair of cw bars attached!
Nice bike but, well...................its a burner...
-
Well, technically it's not really a Burner - it's a top notch japanese Tange frame with high end parts - it just has Raleigh Burner stickers but...
Why shouldn't a Burner win...even if it was a standard one? I've got a mint mk2 Burner and a very nice Mk1 Ultra.
They may not be the best bikes but they look great in the collection and are as much a part of the old school scene as anything else.
-
hear hear,
well done Julian. That Burner is clean :)
-
You all loved my Firebird but failed to bid as it was pink.
Should have entered the badlander, that would win on rarity :)
-
fook me.
