How many times have you asked this question Dan and not done anything about it....... :LolLolLolLol:

More backbone!

Got doubles of anything? Start with that.

Anything a compromise or a lesser model  of a particualr brand you've got the better one of? They can go.

Started a build and lost interest before you finished? They can go.

Anything common as arseholes?

Start with the easy choices, you'll soon get on a roll and start to appreciate the space, it gets easier when a few go and you'll sell all sorts of stuff you've  hung on to " just incase"...

Just try and have an elite rather than best and second best and third best......

mine look a mess, i have put a fare bit in the loft ,so might fit it out like radman and keep the finished ones up top
out of the way of the spanners.then it  might not annoy me so much.i bang my head alot on stuff or trip over one.

got my eye on the challenger  :)

to put it into perspective it takes up no more room than my 2 cars  ;)

pick out the completes you want to look at , same with the parts and strip the rest down and put it away . that way you eliviate the mental burdon of having to look at so much stuff without going so far as getting rid of it all and a week later looking around for something and then thinking " ah i used to have that "

Mid school is on the way up buddy boy! You could have the mid equivalent of the Haney collection!

...and it would be in the UK!

...it's your duty!!

You could work on some kind of layout like he has.....

Dan I think you have a problem mate :idiot2: :LolLolLolLol:

I have sold loads of bikes and parts over the years and haven't regretted anything yet. I think I could live with just keeping 2 bikes if it came to it.

Dan i think if you don't actually need to get shot of stuff (ie: skint and need the dosh or space) then i'd keep it all!  i could just spend hours in that shed of yours just looking at stuff!   :D

A difficult one Dan, luckily I don't quite have the same scale of problem as you but what I decided was to really go for the bikes that mean something to me.  My Scorpion being a replica of my first bmx bike, my 85 Haro Master the last bmx bike I had (although I did switch back to my Freestyler after I sold the Master), the others are all bikes I would have liked to have owned except the Hoffman which I just really like and is a bike from when I was busy riding road and mountainbikes.  The only bike I would consider getting now is another Haro Freestyler and maybe clear one of the others to make room although never say never!!!

easy dan, think of the 5 bikes you would grab in a fire and fook the rest off. that's what i did and i'm sticking to it, no thinking, that will only mess with your head.

A museum? ...... cool

How much will admission be?

Will there be guided tours?

When does it open?

Will there be grand opening?

Will there be a Mid school personality cutting the ribbon?

Can I come?  ;)

That is one amazing garage. If it was me with this choice, i would havefload the bikes that were more common and keep the rarer ones or the limited edition bikes.

i am getting better and sold a few of my favourites ,well its a start
and jt ..no mate im needing shot but its hard to sell completes and busting up
a perfectly good bike is sooo hard for me to do..i want just a few and this will happen.

think of them as bikes rather than anything else. just get rid and be done with it. i am going from 33 to 5. 3 of which will be built up and 2 framesets with bits to build them. i am keeping a box of my best NOS and used treasures and that's it(unless i can snipe a ripper/TA of some kid on the street) and no more ever ever. i might change a few bits over time but no more bikes.
one kuwi cruiser, one national pro, one PK ripper with LG's, and stashed will be the trickstar and laserlite. i got some goodies like DX cranks, 400's 401's etc.. you know the stuff ;) and the rest is being slowly bought by hunterdubber, scarey and steeve beech. Once they run out of money then e-bay it is. Did you get rid of the flashy big daddy? still got a trade for you ;)

Dan,
My opinion is whatever makes you happy, if you don't need to sell the bikes or parts for financial reasons and they bring a smile to your face then keep em..............

If you have lost love for particular models then flog em, pool the cash and buy stuff you want, just cause you have a garage full its not wrong, just your hobby so fook it :4_17_5:
