Not sure if you are aware but the few of us who have been working down in South Woodham Ferrers clearing the site of the old track also have a facebook group...
We have a few of the old racing pics but if anyone that used to race there in the 80's have anymore, it'd be great to have them listed.
If you can post here ill transfer them over.

some real early pics there....
i moved there in Oct 84 so probably before i got there....
As for now we are getting there its slow hard work but we pretty much have it cleared, the local council seem behind us - we are gettting to the stage where we need a ecology study of the area and then put in formal planning permission :fart:
oh and it wont have a national - its not big enough - though we do hope to have another bridge!

somehow a national wouldnt suit woodham,it was always a nice local regional track that was always fun to race at.

Spoke to Scott Weeks last night who is leading the charge and he has told me that a video of the US pro's riding Woodham in 1983 will be in his hands very shortly
Harry Leary, Stu Thompson etc... Will post up here once i have my sticky mitts on it...

My mates got a photo of Pistol Pete there (Amonst others.) The one bloomin day I don't go with them I miss the worlds top pros!
