Post by: fLA on April 08, 2008, 04:41 PM
Hi to all,

can someone say to me for sure that Dia-Compe Hombre Fiesta Brake are for Rear and front same sets.
Can I buy 2 sets and they will fit in front and rear...

or there one specific for front and another to rear?

thanks,
fLAVIO

There's front and rear and universal I think.

I have a universal on the front of my bike and just bought another uni for the rear.

Billys on ebay have the universal hombres.

and to quote the great limping Twobobrob: they just work.  :daumenhoch:

here's the link, but the picture shows a front, not a universal.

however i bought one a couple of weeks back and it is a universal.

i maybe wrong but i think all Hombre's are universal, it was the old ADD990 ones that were front or rear specific?  could be wrong though?

but i'd say you were fine with any of the ones on the main sites like Billys, Alans, w@nkstanleys, Customriders and so on  :daumenhoch:

the billy's pic shows a front, but on ebay it is a uni, even thought the pic is a front.

see the alans one, it has like an open hole thing both sides, that's a universal one. but if you buy one called "universal" regardless of the pic
you'll get the right thing.

the universal comes with loads of bits like a stradle wire and brake bridge thingy.

not sure about that brake, but get hombres.

I only have a front fitted currently but I got a another to put on the back. The front works amazingly well, and I'm not expert at setting them up, Pickle was suitably impressed with it at Corby.

make sure you don;t mix the springs up, the gold coloured one is the left hand as you look at the brake, the silver one the right.
