Ive got myself a pair of blue tuff 1's :D i actually do like these
as they are a little different from the normal II's they are as heavy
as Kerry katona after a binge at Iceland :2funny: but they are straight
with no nicks.
so when were tuff 1 produced?
why did they not take off? was it because they were to heavy?
do they use the same bearings, and axles as the II?
and can they be dyed the same?

I like them, Ive got a nice Red set, with coaster brake from 1978, cleaned up nice, never seen a brake. They are off my torker MX , will post a pic when finished it :daumenhoch:

They were the first generation of plastic Skyways that's all. Progress moved them onto the Tuff II's :daumenhoch:. Produced from 77/78 to about 79/80; the link on the ColoredTuffs site tells you all about them ;).

Most probably, axles and looseball bearings seem to be pretty similar no matter what hub and are interchangeable :daumenhoch:
