Title: Scoring system for OS Races???????

I need the official line on how the scoring works for BMX Racing and especially the system used in OS Racing.

I am new to OS Racing and everyone else is unclear how the points system works.

The system which I was told to use was 1st=50, 2nd=47 and so on.

I have since been told that it goes 1st=50, 2nd=47, 3rd=44, 4th=41, 5th=38, 6th=35, 7th=32, 8th=30, 9th=28 and so on.

Which is a little bit different and favours the A finalists with a bigger points margin.

I have had a look at the results for modern racing and theirs is different again.

If anybody has a clue which system the OS Racing uses then please explain it or better still point me to the official scoring rules.

I want to put the Scoring system up on my website so everyone will know how it works.

Ok, The points system we use was in use at regional level in 06/07. The first points was done by humps for us, it does favour the A finalists, but then again they deserve it for making the A.

The points used by some regionals include moto placings, but this is difficult to keep track of, especially if its left up to us to collate the points.

At the end of the day we can use any points structure we want, but it would be good to agree to keep it all the same :daumenhoch:
