Well, to cut a long story short, I have been trying to hassle the council into making some kind of commitment to repairing the damage to the old Rochdale track, home to the Roch valley raiders.
After some discussion with a few people at the council, I got through to the head honcho, who is asking for a meeting to be arranged, once I have sent him some pictures of the site.
It seems that with any form of beaurocracy, they will only pay out cash, for some form of recognition, in terms of publicity.
BUT, now is the time to get the shit together, as the best time to get cash is NOW, as they get their new budget in April.
So, I'm hoping to bombard them with information about the "old" track, and how it can be used for the next generation.
Please help me out with any information, or pictures that you have lurking in your sideboards, so I can make as much impact at the meeting as I possibly can.
Thanks in advance.

james,
I need as much info as i can.
see what you can get.
you know the Rochdale track would be worth re finishing.
plus, my father in law is third in command to the guy we have to persuade.
surely we can sort this.

:) Without doubt Rochdale would be the better track ,should some money be spent on it,but it is in vandal central.Queens Park in Heywood is having plenty spent on it at present,so that may be an easier option.I did have plans myself, but God keeps striking me down!

:) Craig Robertson now owns Ride-On bike shop in Rawtenstall.

well, it doesnt need to much...i could do it myself, if i had a big enough wheelbarrow.
we'll see.
need more pics and info, to persuade the brass in charge.
