Hi everyone, just got all the pics back from my warm weather training trip to Puerto de Pollenca (okay - it was a holiday...!) and thought I'd share. Great time was had and it was brilliant to ride in the sun for a whole week.....and my new knee felt great!

First day riding in the town square - lovely place and being there pre-season meant it was quiet too...

Went out for the day looking for ramps and skateparks. Stevie knew of a few. Totally quiet - excellent! Started riding this 6ft quarter but found it a bit intimidating - got a bad case of pop-out-itis!

Was really nervous, but was determined to pull something, so just threw caution to the wind and went for an Abubaca.... Bailed the first one - ultimate knee test and it held no problem!

Started riding this park in Ca'n Picafort - a short drive down the coast from Alcudia. Council built type of place, but still looked like fun until I blew the valve on my front tyre!

Another flat session in the square - started working on a wee combo - McCircle to Swivel to a trick I call the Crowd Pleaser - 'cos it always does! - no handed, spinning round on the rear peg...

Yeah - it was great fun, actually wish I'd done some MORE riding in between all the sunshine, cider and good food!

like someone else said earlier, how did you find riding the flatland bike on ramps.
i've got one of those fly micro machines and i took mine up to charlton mini once for a mess about. it was really hard to ride it in there.

Never had much of a problem riding flatland bikes on ramps, but I've not gone for any serious air on this one yet. The weight of it bothers me more than the size. MinD you, I could do with losing a few pounds myself!

i take it you've ridden longer frames on ramps since you've been back.

Well Saturday Night I had to work as we had a table of 45 in the Restaurant and after a short 8hr shift (short for Mallorca, usual shift is 12-16hrs in Summer) my leg was slightly swollen and tired but no pain which is good.
Anyway on a bmx note just signed a petition for a concrete park here in the port so I imagine By the time you come back out I should know where they are going to build and what I'ts gonna look like, Judging by the parks here I am going to try and get involved in the planning and maybe start classes for kids and if they need a caretaker for the park I might apply (If the money is right).
I was speaking with a wise Chineese man who told me "Mirraco Blend 2 for street & park not for Flatland" and as I did my knee in doing a Decade I guess he was right :LolLolLolLol:.

Well, my bike history for the past 15 years was original Condor, then back to my MRD after I'd customised it with Taj forks, front and rear AD990's, double thick rear dropouts, 180mm GT 3-pc and red DX. Bike was bright yellow, had it for a couple of months then some F@CKER stole it from my flat - some dickhead left the front door open - best bike I've ever had/ridden, totally priceless and irreplaceable. Probably still in Glasgow somewhere in some neds garage...
Went without a bike for a year then dropped the cash on the Micromachine. Stuck some Hoffman chrome 48's, new chainwheel seat & post on it and I've been riding it ever since. That was about 6-7 years ago.
I'm curious about your comment "since you've been back"....... where was I?!

No worries! The only year I've not been on a bike since 1983 was the year after my Badlander was nicked.Made up for it with loads of snowboarding instead! Bmxer4ever........it's not just a name!

Sorry Daz - keep forgetting to reply to you! I've ridden everything and aired everything from PK Rippers, Falcon Pros, MRDs, Haro Freestylers (original), Kuwaharas, Firebirds, Condor, Haro Master, Performers, you name it, I probably been on it! I've always been quite adaptable, (obviously less so recently!), but in saying that, I havn't really gone big on this bike yet....
