Original Post.....
He's a good seller normally,so i'd guess he really doesnt realise what he's got is a copy. ???
Giveaway? Poor finishing of the alloy parts..seen on the nut quite clearly, snide sets used same black decals whatever colour you bought...and the bearing seats are cheap black rather than more expensive chromed versions of the real Tange.
Also, the washer is a poorly finished gold colour again, rather than chrome.
The couple i bought came in a very similar box to Tange but said Haro on them ;D then in small writing "Bicycle Crocodile Co Ltd"
Terrible,Terrible things and i'm glad they were only a tenner each or i would really been peeved.

:daumenhoch:
I have one in silver :D cost a tenner i think :2funny:
-
That's the first time I've seen one those. Junk, absolute junk! I doubt he'd ship here, anyway. He's one of those haters who won't ship to the UK. You should link this thread to OS-BMX or BMXMusuem.com then watch the flaming begin..
Flame on...
-
I have bought lots of stuff from him. He's pretty reliable, although he's not a friendly person to deal with. He will ship to the UK, as long as you pay insurance on the item.
He must know that is a fake though, he's been dealing in BMX stuff for years.
-
just gpot greedy i reckon....happens to quite a few regular sellers eventually...sad but true.
-
I've always had good dealings with him.
That is the first I have seen anything moody from his sales though and am very surprised to be honest.
-
I've bought things from him before too..no problem at all.He doesnt like the "extra" work involved in sending out of USA (customs forms etc i expect) but he does appreciate the business overall.
I've sent him a message letting him know what i think about the real vs fake. What he does with that is up to him.
-
It looks sh!t :LolLolLolLol: you can tell just by looking at the pic its fake >:D
-
tange headset for a tenner-things that are too good to be true springs to mind, why no negative left then to warn other buyers? 1998 positives v's 4 negatives he can't be that bad! :D
-
No Negs left before as this is the first one ive seen him sell in the 6 or 7 months ive been back on the scene so to speak.
As i and others have said,he is a solid seller,no probs at all apart from his abrupt attitude and apparent unfriendliness - although those that deal with him alot say thats just his way..
That headset is 100% a fake. I can only assume he honestly doesnt realise.
-
Good guy, misery though. does get some nice stuff and does ship over with minimum communication.......ug :crazy2:
-
steve is a stand up guy and is not out to rip folk off , and is very approachable over this im sure ...

-
If anyone wants a real one of these, check the for sale section as I'm selling mine.

ur point ??????? i think its a fake but im not 100% sure .. are u 100%sure ???? if so lets see the facts , or are u just going from hersay ?? and i have no problem editing the listing .. ive added the snide possibility so whats ya problem ??

I've never had a real one (so to say) to compare the silver one i have too but as it only cost a tenner from here and the fact that when i took it out of the box and paper wrapping the brass bearing seats in the the cups fell out
needless to say its still in the shed never been used although i stuck the brass inserts back in with super glue :-X ::)
I think i may araldite it all together and make a nice paper weight with it ;)

i can't see the point in someone going to so much trouble for snide stuff for so little return :idiot2: the hutch stems and all that then possibly but for a tenner and not many of them :-\

They were rife bitd, some companies made a complete business model out of selling snide gear like Landar, Wald, Raleigh and the like. I am surprised so many people seemed shocked when snide gear comes up for sale, it's not like it's something new - take a look at the mags from about 1983 onwards they're full of them.

just added a note on the auction to clear any confusion up ..... damn !! and i thought i was gunna get rich from that auction" brandy truffle" :Aresehole:
