hI, i was wondering if anyone knows how I can use sealed cartridge bearings with this axle or if I can find a replacement axle that will allow me to do this, as this one is threaded like a one piece that uses the other type,
Thanks a lot.

:) Looks like one of Mongoose`s low end cranks that came on the budget models.Probably would have had a caged open bearing b/b as well.Don`t know what kind of replacement axle would fit that though.

I have only ever seen open bearing bottom brackets for hexagonal axles before.
There is one on the bay at the moment which is open bearings.

Just had a thought! 4-Jeri cranks have hexagonal axles. I know that the US bottom bracket for the 4-Jeri crank is open bearing, But the euro bottom bracket is sealed, so if you could get hold of a euro 4-Jeri bottom bracket you could then use a bottom bracket adapter to fit it in the frame.
It is a long way round but it would work.
