Does anyone have or know of a supplier for small amounts of 4130 Chrome moly tube?
I have a 24" GT Santa ana that needs a new tube, the weldings no prob just want to get hold of the replacement tube. :)

other than that my minds a blank , maybe find an old standard and cut the tube out of that ;)

all the frame builders i can think of use reynolds or columbus tube
im sure someone will know a uk user of 4130 seamless
id start looking into old frames to canabalise for tube just in case though

Have a chat with Fuzzynod. His mates down at Robinson Race Cars use 4130.....

I was going to say about motor racing. My mate makes motorbike racing exausts and he makes loads of stuff out of 4130

Or try www.pfametals.com , they stock 4130. But be careful after welding coz it should really be stress relieved by heat treating correctly, or the area around the weld may be brittle (http://www.radbmx.co.uk/forum/Smileys/smilies/daumenhoch.gif)
