any opinions on the  profile race cassette hubset. What do you experts think is the best hubs for racing.

There's lots of cassette hubs out there that are great for racing.
None much better than the feeling of owning a Profile though.....

i use profile, cost a bit but run smooth and geths right, I think theres something about owning profiles

they do some real nice colours now to

the proper magnatainium hubs are probablly the best because they are light a f**k and are still pretty strong one down side thhey cost the earth

10mm axles needed for race bikes. Unless you're using a street bike for racing of course.
Proper hubs won't fit race frames.

don't some hubs have Fat axles but are held into the dropouts by 10mm bolts?

thats gotta be the best of both worlds  ;)

There are axle adaptors available these days that allow you to convert standard 10mm axles into 14mm axles by simply buying the adaptors and screwing them on. Very handy items and indeed the best of both worlds.

I use Profile on all my bikes, never had any problems with them. I dont think they are quite as good as the Chris King ones, but they cost half the price, and I cant see that King ones would be twice as good.

Profile mini hubs come in so many cool colours now as well. Check the web site out. http://www.profileeurope.co.uk/
