Title: --- 2008 OM Flyer...ready to roll...
Post by: Stodgy on April 17, 2008, 11:10 PM
Hello guys

Had this for a while now, but haven't got round to riding it yet due to my on-going back problems.

But, here's my lovely new OM, without all the stupid gay yellow bits.

I've changed to the following parts:

- Comp III Style Tyres
- WeThePeople Rhombus Grips (try them, you'll never go back)
- Odyssey JC Trailmix Pedals
- Velo Seat
- Mosh 6.5" x 28" Cruiser bars
- Hope Head Doctor    http://www.radbmx.co.uk/forum/index.php'topic=58517.0
- SE Padset

Pics don't do justice to the paint job - it really is very very good.

Anyhow, here ya go - don't know what it rides like (hoping to try tomorrow!), but it sure looks pretty.

I'm loving the 08 - so much more like a BMX now, with all standard sized bmx measurements and parts...I'd highly highly recommend one!

Just the standard SE ones that came with it...had thought about changing them before I got the bike, but they are quite a nice looking crank...like you say they have a Profile box crank look to them, so will do for me.  :daumenhoch:

Just come back from a little ride on it, just cruising around the field and woods with my girls. It rode real nice; smooth and comfortable.

 :daumenhoch:

Thanks Joe, good lad for keeping a can on it.  ;)

My apprentice was reading my copy of this months Ride magazine in the van yesterday and saw the SE advert above ^^^^

He commented how cool the OM looks and where does he get one (He is 19 and not into BMX at all)

SE are doing something right with the OM and Dave yours is a vast improvement on the original  :coolsmiley:

wouldnt mind one of these to put the baby seat on for summer cruisin  :daumenhoch:

 :) DINGO :)

Flaz John - I think we'll take it that you'll be winning any race we may have mate!  ;)

Yep, SE seem to be building some cool bikes at the moment that transcend outside of the core BMX world - single speed is big business now...and they look the nuts...even my neighbour loved it!

Looks fantastic Dave and I'm glad you've got to ride it now  :daumenhoch:

Unfortunately, what with everything that's been going on, I haven't even had time to take mine out of it's box  ::)
