Title: Advice on finishing '86 Performer
Post by: funkyfresh on April 23, 2008, 08:19 PM
Right gents,

Its taken me a while to finish this due to being lazy and having trouble getting some parts...

I need some advice on whether:

1/ The surviror Uni seat looks out of place? (Cant find a NOS blue uni for love nor money)
2/ The survivor Tuff's need dyeing? - picture makes them look bluer than in real life

(both are my own from BITD) - If they dont stay on this, I can't part with them, so they'll end up on next build...

The tyres are survivor comp III's - to be replaced by some chen shin blue copy comp III's once I have ridden this around the block

Also, does anyone do stickers for my vector bars (also mine form BITD)? Biaggios ones are for the Haro reps and arent the same...

I'be always thought of Uni seats being for race bikes and look out of place on a freestyle bike

I think you're right..looks a little too "elegant" perhaps?

What would you suggest?

I have a NOS blue Shotgun II seat on its way to me, maybe that fits the bill?

Frame and forks were off ebay..then SBD powdercoated them...absolutely mint, not one blemish on 'em... :smitten:

I'll try the shotgun on for size 1st, i think before getting an MX....

Cheers for the advice :LolLolLolLol:

Yeh a  blue Shotgun  sounds better and would match your colour code of your bike

All you need then is a nice chrome GT layback seat post .. now should i sell mine   :LolLolLolLol:
