when airing right out do you pull with your arms and hop with your legs?how differenet is the movement in vert to a near vert quarter???
i'm trying but can only air a foot at most :-X :'( :-[
-
repeat 20,000 times and your understand
-
If you're riding a ramp with true vert on it, then you don't pull out out all. In its simplest terms, ride out the top of the ramp, turn around and ride back in again ;)
Try and relax as much as possible, this will keep you closer to the ramp and stop you landing flat bottom. To go higher, ride faster :)
-
so basically relax and find a pair! :LolLolLolLol:
-
For mini's it's just an american bunnyhop out of the coping, for vert, what Rob said.
Tyre pressure is key, I stuck 80psi in my tyres and virtually doubled my height. You'd want higher pressure for vert, Rob runs 110!
-
i run comets at 100psi already!
american hop?you mean both wheels together?
-
Get air inches at a time - not feet.I cant air those silly little ramps but I can on proper 1/4's . Still slowly advancing on the big vert tho. We'll have a good go at creation. :)
-
By the way - KHE tires at 100psi helps
-
zack was trying to tell me how to when i saw him on tuesday.
creation will help as will us sessioning the vert :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:
-
An American bunnyhop is front wheel first.... also known way back when as a wheelie hop if memory serves me correctly :)
And yeah, for vert you definately need a pair ;D
-
i'm way more relaxed the more vert it gets!
those stoopid small quarters the kids air baffle me......................i reckon they just use magic!! :crazy2:
-
anyone who can ride into the corby vert ramps has got the b*llocks. i'm sure you'll probably be airing at Creation.
-
riding in is the start........................riding out is the end its the middle bit that worries me
-
Its hookin' the back whel up on the vert that worries me :daumenhoch:
-
Don't worry about that sunshine - it's hooking up the front wheel you want to worry about!!!!
-
word!!
-
You know wot, it's not that hard... ya just gotta go with the ramp and roll out over the coping kinda thing...
Ya wont have to pull out much... just try to air by rolling out the top of the ramp!!
i sort of push my wheels against the coping as im rolling over it, then at the peak of the air sort of tuck myself into an 'air' position, then looking down, you can see where your gonna come in... i slightly bone my back wheel before i come down, then suck it back in over the coping on the way down!!
Also carving a bit may help on vert... and just look for where ya gonna come back in...
keep goin that bit faster each time!!
It's all mental!! :daumenhoch:
-
that sounded like it was easy......................... :wtf:
-
;D OK, simpler explanation....
easier to carve your airs slightly....
dont pull out.... roll up the ramp, roll out into your air...
spot your landing....
Keep increasing your speed!! ;)

Theres some better 1/4s at Creation than corby that you can have a go at Tony (it is Tony isnt it ?) :)
-
thats what i hear!
yeah its tony..........weird having a real name :wtf:
