anyone know any websites detailing the skyway standard spec for each of their bikes? cheers :daumenhoch:
-
There wasnt any.
-
Well, not for the TA as that was F&F only. Which models are you after?
-
The TA came as frame and forks only so you choose the components yourself. Best bet is to grab an old mag from the time and source parts that match the era. That way you can build it lower spec or super duper top spec, but still keep it era specific.
-
The later models 87 onwards may have had a spec as Skyway introduced their own parts.
-
Here ya go this site may be of use or look on the museum
have fun building. :daumenhoch:

85 - street beat, i thought that from the pages i have looked at but not too clued up
so when did they release their own stems, spinmaster, chainwheels etc? after 85? thanks
-
I bought a Spinmaster when they first came out (UK) in 85.
-
got most of the parts for it already, street beat frame/forks, ez 1 bars, dc mx901 brakeset, tuffs, kashimax aero
i have a nos suntour stem but are they normally used on skyway street beats?
also were they generally built up with opc's?
cheers :daumenhoch:

The streetbeats and streetstyler completes had one piece cranks if i remember correctly but the factory riders always (except pepi) used redline three piece cranks.
To be honest suntour stems would not be seen on streetbeats bitd/suntour stems were popular quite a while before streetbeats came out.

what would be an era correct stem? :daumenhoch:
