Title: Milton Keynes track temp closed
Post by: Moschops on May 02, 2008, 07:23 PM
The MK track has had 10 days of landscaping, hardcoreing and surfacing, it was looking fab the other day, just needed some time to harden of and a good summers racing we "could" of had.

The numerous signs saying track shut, and the barrier fencing staked around every jump would have kept most people off you would have thought. couple that with wet weather....surley no one would ride the track

But no, numerous people have taken it upon themselves to remove the signs and fencing, why can't we ride it, we shall  :idiot2:

A big thanks to those who have riden our very wet track with an unset surface on it  >:D

If they wish to dip into their pockets to replace the five grand they have just ruiened, I will gladly accept their donations  >:(

The track will have to be dressed and rollered again, so is still shut  :'(

If anyone had plans to head our way over the long weekend we would appreciate it if you didn't. You may get to the track and it look perfectly open but it is ment to be SHUT!

Rant over, sorry.

Many thanks.

Gutted to read this Lee but unfortunately short of someone standing guard 24 hours it's going to happen because there are loads of idiotic Wayne Kerr's out there who can't see why it shouldn't be ridden, just because it's there!!  Feel for the MK Club on this one and hope you can resolve the situation, maybe by whackerplating the softer bits down to compact it as suggested by Russ on Talk.  I doubt the people responsible will be reading this because they quite obviuosly can't read anyway.  Good luck with everything anyway.  Humps

Lee ,

This just p1sses me right off , I'm gutted for you & Matt/Conrad . This kinda thing helps no one , it just ruins it for the riders who want to use it on a regular basis , especially after all the problems you've had with the surface & weather ! .

Matt
