Title: 83 PK Ripper
Post by: virtualmeuk on May 06, 2008, 12:20 PM
Hi All,

Can anyone tell me what the standard parts list would be for an 83 ripper?

Thinking of building one and want to see what parts i can get or have already but cant identify them from the small adverts i have in old mags?

Cheers
Steve

The worlds ya lobster mate, some would say only from parts of the year of build but what ever you like the look of and its readily available :daumenhoch:

Take a look in the museum for some ideas....

Cranks: 401 Flights, Profile box's or a sugino OPC...
Bars: SE Powerwings, GT Pro Bars, CW's etc etc
Seat: Elina, Kashi aero or MX
Post: Troxel
Wheels: (bag of worms) spokes or skyways
Stem: Tuff nec or Pro neck or Sugino power

List is endless, do some thing different ;)

New skool.........Never!!

Just wanted to make it as close to standard spec as possible.

Did they come as a complete bike or were they just frame and forks and you built up yourself?

I got an 83' on the bench too. Stick a picture up as you move along with the build and i'll do the same thing. We'll see how different they turn out  :daumenhoch:

Like Ron Burgundy says, they did come as completes!

Shiners sold them BITD and the best person to help you with a spec list is SE-BMXER (Jai)...drop him a PM and I'm sure he'll assist.

Good luck with your build fella

Dave
