piece of piss dude!

take the lock ring off from the side. just unscrew it with big spanner

then the cog just slides off! (from what i can remember)

Just like Phil says. Its real easy.

Undo the cone nuts (maybe its just one?) on the cog side, and then the cog and the ratchet things (I forget the name of them) will just pull away from the hub. Even undoing the cone nuts is easy cos you can hold the spindle by using an allen key in the hex hole in the end.

cheers phil, that's what i thought. but does it undo the wrong way? cos the usual way the cog turns, if you see what i mean.

The cog dont turn (its not held on by any threads), it just pulls away from the hub once the cone nut is off  :daumenhoch:

fook! can't remember that bit.

the cogs not threaded only the lock ring

its internationally recognised that a normal threading nut will have smooth edges and a reverse thread nut will have notches in it! failing that bring it tomorrow night and i'll show you!

sorted now chaps, but made a mess of the lock ring as I over tightened it trying to get it off the wrong way.

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. lesson learned: ask before fokking with it.

it'll still work, just looks a bit shit.
