Hmm will be very interesting to see where this leads to ::) Am pleasantly surprised they are not trying to build flats on it.

sounds good, lets hope it is of better quality than fowlmead at Deal
-
fowlmead was a disaster with the wrong people being involved (roadies) an not pressing hard enough to get the right people in or taking advise from people that they had spoke too who knew more about bmx etc.
-
shame, could have been great, kids love it, i get worried gonna lose em down one of the rain channels..... :10_2_12:
-
maybe sum of us locals shud get in touch wiv the council. If theyre gonna build a track, i guess it needs to be as good as hersden!
-
i was going to say the same thing. unless somebody gets in there you'll end up with a fun track that's not even a touch on Hersden. In reality it's all the kids want.
-
Have sent a contact e-mail to the Council drawing their attention to Herne Bay & Hersden. No doubt they'll take no notice whatsoever and build an abomination. Humps
-
let us know if you get any feedback AL :daumenhoch:

Muppets at Gravesham Council obviously didn't read my message to them so have replied rather rudely to them. If they can't recognise an offer of help then they probably wouldn't recognise a BMX track if they saw one!! I think Herne Bay will still be the only fullsize track in Kent for many years to come. Humps

i think your right Al
but at least you can say you tried :daumenhoch:
-
Thanks for trying anyway Alan .......... Its obviously the same twats that run Dartford council that kept on about this mega money skate park/bmx track and we ended up with a concrete bowl and so many druggies just "hanging around" on it that nobody could try and learn anything if they wanted to :(

bit more digging has found this page
http://www.gravesham.gov.uk/index.cfm?articleid=4122 (http://www.gravesham.gov.uk/index.cfm?articleid=4122)
panel 10 shows the proposal in detail
maybe its time to hammer this email address with questions ...........
was this the department you spoke with Al ?
Also Jacobs - have they built many tracks ?
-
Got this back now - "Thank you for your email. I apologise for any previous confusion and your original email has been passed our Leisure Department who are dealing with such issues." so if you're sending a general email off their contact address on their website then ask for it to be directed to the Leisure Department. Previous message must have been read by a :Aresehole: ;) Humps

Typically looks like another council disaster waiting to happen. :idiot2:
