So, nearly 6 months since that friday night at Charlton when it all went a bit pear shaped for me.
I'm off the crutches, swelling is under control and i can finally start to live a normal life again. ::)
Been going to physio for a couple of weeks now, ankle movement is rather limited at the moment, but no pain so its good.
My physio reckons i only lost 10% muscle power in my left peg! :wtf:
So he is doing the strength tests on my first visit, me pushing against his hands with both legs for a comparison. "you done this when" he says. December 7th i tell him, "hmmm, you sould not have this much muscle strength after such a lengthy injury, ive never seen this before...................................farkin ringer" ;D
I rode my bike round the garden at the weekend with no ill effects :daumenhoch:
Just gotta lose the extra stone+ that ive put on over the winter.
My target of July is looking like a goodun. But will i be able to ride with this niggling away in the back of my head.....who knows?
I know 1 thing, i dont ever wanna go through this isht again.
Sean.

Good luck Sean, hope it goes your way mate :daumenhoch:

Glad you're starting to get back to normal at long last Sean! great news! as for riding again? i think you'll be fine after a while but i understand what you mean about the back of your mind!
only you can really know if you'll be able to ride like you were before hand mate :-\
-
Good luck Sean, fingers crossed for you mate. Since my accident in February i have had no confidence at all. :( :(, even more so that when i did go out i came a cropper and ended up with a twonked knee full of stitches. They're now out but the future looks very bleak for me. :'( :'(
My wife is not letting me on my bike for a while. :LolLolLolLol: apparently i cant be trusted.
-

Glad to hear your nearly there mate and i'm sure it won't be long before the ringer is back to his best :daumenhoch:

Great news m8 :) Just take it easy and work up gradually for the next 6 weeks to give everything(muscles/ligaments) time to strengthen :daumenhoch:
-
Yeh, thats the plan. I'm not gonna rush back!
Just returned from my first outing on the "floval". Very nice ride, smooth as a cashmere codpiece with it being all sealed an all!
Just one gripe........the saddle has got naff all padding on it......ouch! Can anybody recomend a nice saddle with lots of padding on it (std fitment not pivotal)?
The "R" :daumenhoch:

Massi make a Bio Hole seat... They are nicely padded and the hole lets your trinkets sit a bit safer.....They look good too. They are available in loads of colours. Heres one :)
