Well done Greg, it is a skill that you will be glad to have learnt.
My 1st set wheels took about 3 hours to build, I can build a wheel in about 10 minutes now. Just takes practise.

first one took me about 3 hours as had to strip and redo .the second was about 2 hours and built that a few times also lol

Greg,
It is satisfying isn't it, get yourself a truing stand and move to the next phase. I used Stidds excellent guide for the build and the Sheldon Brown, truing guide - it is relatively simple but time consuming for the beginer!!
By the way what colour are the hubs? it looks almost a smoke or bronze?

Paul

Well done. Not something i have tried. I am not sure whether I would actually consider riding a wheel I had built myself.
-
nice one magII
i have been building my own bmx wheels for almost ten years now. it's pretty straightforward to do.
oh i dont mean i have been building the same set for 10 years ;)
in the past i have experimented with radially laced, and the nasty twist lace configs.
radially laced rims are still plenty strong enough (although not as strong as cross 3 or 4)
