I am in the process of refurbin some silver DX's, but cannot decide on the finish. I have cleaned and polished them, but they just don't look right. Should I just go for a light sandblast finish, or stick with the polished look. Got no pics just yet. Ad :santa_undecided:

paint them white with tippex.

Never thought of that, what a typically ORB sugestion. :2gunsfiring_v1:

ok,
paint em black with blackboard paint.
Then when bored, you can take your crayola chalks out of your bum bag and change the colour, or draw:
- cat
- house
- daddy
- mummy

Ad, what have you used to tidy up the ends ? How bad were they to start with ?
I've got a couple of pairs that I need to sort, so could benefit from your experience bud :santa_afro:

Used a file, Dremel, wire brush, emery tape, very fine wet and dry. Then a polishing wheel on my bench grinder, and to finish (but not fitted yet) some new end caps off RAKAS. :santa_afro: Ad

I've got the end caps, just haven't attempted any of the rest yet :-[

when your rubbin em with wet and dry you wanna double side you sand paper to a block, this way you'll keep the angular look on the ends.. i've also discovered that if i turn down the pressure on my sand blaster you can make a polished pedal look more like it should (not highly polished and not flat dull silver) i think with mine i'm gonna 2pac lacquer them with some blue ink in the paint .... i haven't tried it yet bet i reckon it's gonna look like it just came out the box.. ;)
-
How about I just send you mine to do then ? ;) :santa_afro:
-
tar and feather them

grand a pair to you guy.. ;D worth every penny.. anyway i cant have your gen1 looking better than mine ;)
