help.
seems to cost a fortune because the calculators ignore actual weight and base it on volumetric weight
which makes no sense to me.
anyone got any suggestions?
-
yeah......don't bother :LolLolLolLol:
-
wtf r u shipping to france?
-
more trouble than its worth i would say. :(
-
yeah you are right.
the bike sold for way under what i wanted and shipping is a load of cash.

Best bet is to waste tour time and take it to the Post for a quote..
The calculators are not always reliable.

Agree. ParcelForce is probably your best bet - try and keep the box dimensions as small as you possibly can.

Pack it in the smallest box you can without the potential for damage. Anything bmx that goes overseas will ultimately always be calculated on volumetric weight due to the transit space it requires. I tend to get a quote from parcelforce on there site

Like the guys say..... box it up as compact as you can. A local bike shop should have some empty bike cartons. PLEASE DONT use Parcelfarce. You will pay 30%+ more and i wouldnt trust them to deliver a box of fresh air.
Use this site: www.interparcel.com or www.p4d.co.uk You will save bigtime and they use couriors like TNT and DHL. You can also pay by paypal and they pick the box up from your door. Tracking is included too. You will need to measure the box and also weigh it. You can weigh it at your local post office ;)
Any probs then shoot me a PM :daumenhoch:

i use the parcel force website but always find it a lot cheaper when i drag it down to the post office

Ive posted over the world using these, they are fast and use DHL, you have to pack it in a box upto 4 cubic feet, so a box around 1m long, 18 inch high and 10 inch wide. Ive been over box size limit slightly before and its been ok, is the bike valuable? they will insure upto £500, but you can find other insurers if reqd
check out this site, thought everyone knew of it http://www.parcel2go.com/ (http://www.parcel2go.com/)
