I was never into freestyle bitd, but I decided to take a shot at building my very 1st freestyle bike. You will have to forgive me if I missed something.
Here are the pictures, I hope you all like it, I am really happy with the way it turned out.
I must thank Jay and Graeme (yeah that Graeme) for all their hard work with this build, cheers guys I owe you one.

Had to throw my old bumpers somewhere. Its the In-Laws garden as mine has a mini digger and a builder in at presend building me a new garage.

Great build mate , who done the decals ? You have to proud owning that on here , the colour scheme looks great.
Does anyone else have one of these prolites on here with pics.

round of applause for it and now sell it to me ;)

Considering that this was the best selling freestyle f/f of 85/86 there seems to be very few of them left, what happened to them all ?
Great job Sean, have you got a pic of it when you first started the resto job :coolsmiley:
-

-
Hey Sean ,
I'm not into Freestyle much but that looks very cool . :santa_cool:
Please post before pics , a few guys have indicated that there was a lot of work to do ?.

your right there billy there was a shop near me that sold them for £60 ff in chrome .everyone i knew that had a prolite broke them as seat tube section
-
Ok here are 4 pictures of the frame when I received it and one when the seat tube has been replaced before welding.
What an amazing restoration job that was done by Jay and Graeme, without them both it would be a useless piece of metal. Guys I salute you.

Hope you don't mind me posting more pics sean, but those dropouts were in bad shape , they are still the original dropouts , only rebuilt , didn't do any before pics , shame ......
-
that is exactly the build I was dreaming of doing and posting here on rad. All I needed was a prolite frame. why Oh why did i ever give up my original one??
Hadn't seen those Craig campbell photos before. I think thats the first photo Ive seen without peter hawkins watching. notice Neil's there tho.
We really need to get Craig on site here. Anyone know his DJ agency to contact?
-
Lovely bike mate, well done.
I like the blue.
-
My favourite pic.........

We have tried to get some contact with him, I was told that he`s working with Frazer now doing interior decorating, but we`ll keep trying :coolsmiley:

he should get back on his bike then, instead of farting around with curtains and wallpaper... ;)
-
Sean, you git!
And to think, i nearly blagged that off you.
You dont her proud old boy.
It still bugs me to think that this was the biggest selling bike of 85 and they just dont seem to exist any more, I know of about 5 in total and that includes Craigs on that resides at Sarfsea (that came very close to getting ram raided)
Some rare UK freestyler there old boy.
Well done.
A+
-
it is also true that craig campbell has one as he bought it out of loot a few years ago ,the guy seliing it must have thought wow ,if he knew who he was saying that i didn`t know who billy stupple was when he turned up to buy his first old skool bmx in 20 years that why i never showed him the bmx collection :)

They were ones I took at the warm up for King of the Skatepark at southsea in the year that Mark Likely won...there are more here if ya interested: http://www.radbmx.co.uk/forum/index.php'topic=577
Cheers

i to had one of those craig campbell signatures, i won it at kos in 85 (thanks stodgy cya on sunday mate) it was that same baby blue colour, but i ended up doing something rather foolish with it, i swapped it for a aero pro burner which just proved i av no brains. excellent rebuild stidds it brings back some memories.
oh by the way mine was 006 what is your number
-
Serial number is 404.
-
well out of at least 404 made i know of only two to date.....they must be out there somewhere!
-
The one that was at Southsea a while back is 001. Hawkins is planning on rebuilding it sometime?
-
This one?

-
Is that the one with the cracked bottom bracket?
Looks bloody gorgeous though.
-
that one was craigs own one, wasnt it . if i can remeber carlo, and nic jeffries also rode for prolite but im not sure......
-
You are right Mark so did Damon Nicols but i'm sure he'd put us right on that. Carlo i think still has his CC with orange graphics, bit of nostalgia for hisself..
-
was damon on prolite,i didnt know that as for carlo i,ll ask him next time i see him..
-
gotta say sean
that is a real nice bike a lot of people on here build great machine's but that is something special really like that .
