Title: Help IDing frame?
Post by: firebird4130 on June 02, 2008, 02:27 PM
Can anyone please help me identify this frame, the forks are stamped Akisu on the dropout ,and on the bottom bracket it is stamped DSBM with a row of numbers underneath it.

Cheers

Im thinking CyclePro. A mate of mine got one out of a cataloge in about 81/82. Just like that with blue (non skyway) tuffs.

(I could be wrong about the name, but Im sure it was a cataloge bike.)

thanks a lot, so that's 2 for cycle pro, I'll go with the majority. So are they collectable, how much do you think it's worth?

:) Don`t be like that! I know no more,I may even be wrong! Don`t think it`ll be particularly valuable but if it was mine,I`d hold on to it as there can`t be too many around.

I've looked at some old posts and there's some other ammaco frames with dsbm and akisu forks, so it must be one right? does anyone know what stickers would it have had?

You're welcome mate. I only sort of knew because it's very similar to a Falcon Pro cruiser i recently acquired, apart from the bit in the gusset and the extra bit by the bottom bracket it's the same.

Glad you got this sorted, i suppose just because the seriel starts with DSBM doesn't automatically make it an Ammaco, must just be made in the same factory?   :-\
