Hi, i have been offered a good deal on a pair of 6 spoke skyways for my mongoose decade. they are from usa.
Are there any hidden extras i will have to pay?
Import tax ?
Duty ?
can someone please help, i need these wheels and the price is good ;) just dont want to get stung by hidden costs.

Yes you may have to pay import duty if you get caught, its VAT on the value of the item above $50 I think :-\ + a handling charge of about £8 + another £8 for some other Bollox if I remember right.
It all depends, Iv had about 50-50 on paying for stuff, so you may be lucky ;)
You can mark the value down (under $50) or mark it as a gift, might work :daumenhoch:

Iv tried all this stuff & still sometimes I get hit for import duty & sometimes I don't.
I think the best way is to mark it under $50, but then you may have a problem if it goes missing :-\

Make sure they dont send the goods by UPS.
I always get stung with customs charges with UPS.
USPS is cheaper and most of the time it comes through with no charges (US Postal Service).
