Anyone got suppliers of the material and foam they would like to share with me for a price?? ;) ;) ;)
-
this has been done before, and im sure there was an answer.
-
not that i know it like
-
well pipe lagging will do for the foam
-
but its grey isnt it?
-
it'll be covered though?
-
Pipe foam can come in all sorts of colours
-
not the ends

I think you could get a foam company to make bespoke extrusions, but the fabric seems more tricky.

B & Q do a thin walled pipe lagging for 22mm dia pipes which should be OK as a top tube and one for 15mm pipe that should be OK for bars. It comes in grey so you could always dunk it in a bucket of dye the next time you are dyeing a seat! ;). They also do a black flexible version but that looks a bit thick!

I bought a load of fabric from 'Carters' camping & leisure in Reading.
They sell it in rolls and have loads of weights and colours to choose from.
Only problem I can think you might have is that its coated so that its water-proof, this might be a problem getting the inks to adhere to it (best bet get a sample done first).
Hope that helps
