Here's a DY I picked up a few months ago. It was it a pretty bad way ,as these pics show:

Looks like someone tried to extend the rear dropouts for some reason - made a right mess of it, by all accounts. I sent it to Tim Copzyk (seracingman) -
Tim had to remove the headtube and the rear dropouts as they were beyond repair. The brake bridge needed some proper attention too.

I wanted to keep the serial number, so we had it stamped into the new dropout:

After the repairs had been completed, she was sent to Chip's for a powdercoat job. I got her back a few days ago and put a few decals on her. Here she is in all her restored glory:

Now my pics are probably not doing this frame the justice it deserves - Tim's work has been simply outstanding, and this frame will take pride of place in my collection, once the forks have been rechromed.
Thats JMC rescue job number 3 - here's number 4, being done at the moment:

Good Lord.
What do you do with these frames Neil, hang them up,display? Or will they get built to bikes?
I'm amazed. I saw a couple those JMC's on the bay and thought they were destined for the scrap heap.
Just goes to show.
...guess the non standard gussett will be next for the chop on the chrome one then ;)
