Ok, forgive me for being very very dumb here :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ but they are spitting images of JMC's. Were they produced after the JMC by the same company and if so are they more affordable.???????????? Cause man i'm liking them both big style. :4_17_5: :4_17_5:
-
i think they are copies of a jmc done by supercross

They were a retro/repro tribute frame, made in small numbers, with the blessing of Jim Melton.

That is sweet. There was a fella who came down to Braintree a few time to race who had one. He sold it a while back, I would have had it if I had the cash at the time. They are lovely looking bikes :daumenhoch:

tim something weren't it ?
-
i got tims :daumenhoch:
mines a similar state to yours but ( proping up a wall ) im ever so slightly ahead in the build stakes as mine has a seatpost and seat on it ;D
what rims you using rhys ? im thinking of removing the anodise from some atomlabs
nice colour too 8)
ps , my cups are far from an effort to hammer in either
-
Kev remember who's got first dib dobs on having it back when you sell. :daumenhoch:

mines moved on abit since that pic just a couple of silly bits to sort now
1/2 link for the chain
a brake cable
and on mine the forks seem to be a tad oversized on the outside
and under bore on inside
as fitting a stem was a norman nightmare
and then the starnut would noot bind and grip
so i need a stem lock thing that passes right though the lot
-
cool , would love a pic
mine needs
spokes
stem
32 hole front hub
rear 36 hole rim
cranks or a ring for my middleburns
chain
bars
cable
tyres
grips
lever
;D
my bikes share a fsa conix
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx'modelID=66
which ive had for 8 years now , just need a 6mm . no hammering like those star nuts and not as heavy as a full stem lock ( plus the ones ive seen can only be fitted with the wheel out
-
i get a pic of mine up tommorrow .mine original red paint and love it . they only made 24 of them back in 2002 i think , they did them before they did the nomorea project and bill ryan ie supercross did them . enjoy it ryan as sweet
-
Fantastic looking bikes, JMC AP tribute type thing, I remember Graham bringing his 20" to the track in Hartlepool years back, very nice :daumenhoch:
Was it this frame sets that caused all the stink i.e. Supercross/Mexico? or something along those lines...

and cant wait to have a roll round a track or street on it
but bars are horrid and no brakes lol
-
diamond back eh
mines abc24026
magna . mine cost a bit under £300 from tim off the bay . but only 25 were made ( another 25 in 20" ) but its actually 27 as there were 2 prototypes ( hence mine being number 26 . so its a matter of keeping an eye on who has the few in the uk and waiting for them to come up for sale ( i dont plan on ever selling mine ) or trying for one in the us
anyone know how much they were new ?
-
rhys it looks more like a metallic grey in the pics
looks nice with the white and gold

Nice looking bikes (I nearly bought one at the time). A tad heavier than a new school cruiser, but still feel nice to ride. Tim Gregory raced his for quite a few seasons on the regional and national circuit.
-
they do look nice in red

its prob down to were its been blasted to why
the bb is loose
-
quick question what is the biggest size tyre that will fit in the rear
as got a dmr 2.2 up front but want a matching type rear
-
your struggle with anything bigger than 1.75 on rear as small back section width wize
-
yeah ive found that out but no one seems to sell 24"tyres
other than comp 3's copy's
-
cant you slot the front wheel in the rear for a looksie ?
just thought , dont atomlab do tyres . quick look and
http://www.atomlab.com/tires.html

http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Categories.aspx?CategoryID=739

-
yeah tried the front on the rear as bought a pair lol
was hanging out the back oo er missus
and wouldnt turn .
i want a nice low rolling tread pattern lol
-
shame :(
that dmr suits the look
-
i see they do khe mac 2's aswell but too big for the rear
gonna have a look on groove racing's site
-
matt your memory must be slipping, I bought it off dingo, sold it to your bro, bought it back off your bro, sold it to pete lol
nice bike still, would look nice with the azusa decals I reckon ( I still have a set in white lol)
-
