Even though his newer films kinda suck, I bet every one of us wanted to be Jackie Chan at some point. I hope he is making Holywood money now, cos he really should be! :daumenhoch:
Top 10 Jackie Chan Stunts
-
I doubt if many other actors have suffered for their art more than Jackie Chan. The only thing that has held him back is his lack of being able to speak English properly otherwise he would be an even bigger star. Mind you, he hasn't done too bad. I once read an article about him which claimed he earned more than Arnie and Sly Stallone combined in the 80s. Then again, he was probably working twice as hard and turning out 2 or 3 times more movies than them, so he deserved it.

jackies ace
your right , the newer stuff isnt that great , but you dont watch porn for the gritty plot ;D
i always remember this :)

i was wondering what the fook was going on , but i dont think they have chains :-\

That first clip is wicked. Ive seen it before but fogotten all about it. He even does that high jump thing that New School kids do now, only Jackie does a frame stand into it so he can get even higher!

:)
im sure he gets the seatpost off a bike and hits people with it though :-\ or am i thinking of something else ?
on an unrelated search , i cant find troy mcmurray fighting the metal mulisha , ive seen it before but cant find anything :(

Ive not seen that on Video, but I do have the copy of BMX Action (no, the newer one that JPR did) where they covered the event. Very funny.

Not watched any Jackie Chan films for a while. Watching those Top 10 stunts reminded me what a loon he is. Hard to imagine he did all of those stunts himself and I imagine the safety measures weren't that substantial compared to how they set up Hollywood stunts. Hardcore. He's like the Mat Hoffman of martial arts.

early ones ruled, police story and meals on wheels :daumenhoch:

Armour of God as well.
Even Rush Hour (first one) was acceptable (even though not the real Jackie Chan deal).

i love the older jackie chan films. i prefer them with the original language and subtitles as the dubbed films really spoil it.
jackie actually speaks perfect english. maybe he didn't at the peak of his career, but he definitely does now.
and yes alex, when i was younger i did pretend to be jackie chan. i spent ages learning to jump over and through many assorted obstacles. probably injured myself more trying that than i did riding.

Lets not forget that Chan was in Cannonball Run, although he didnt get to do much. Just the one fight at the biker bar when he split his trousers.
