My guess is that some were made in Taiwan after 87, HPF, semi-slick and others..

Post by: rumblebum01 on June 30, 2008, 01:04 AM: I've not bought much Jap stuff other than the Elina Lightning Bolt seat in black that's just arrived, but a friend of mine has just had a "nice" GT mallet in stem from Babelovely on Ebay. We arrived at a skatepark last week and found his stem was a little loose. I saw him turn the spanner- now he's not exactly Mr Schwarzeneger but the threads stripped as soon as the spanner moved. As the spanner slipped it took off the quality paint that Mr Babelovely (probably a ladyboy) had just administered with his aerosol. Nice to see that Japan or Taiwan or wherever it is is selling us desperate 40 somethins some good quality merchandise. JJ
