Title: GT PERFORMER 'KING OF THE SKATE PARKS 1984'
Post by: munners on July 09, 2008, 01:24 PM
I have finally found the missing parts to complete Eddie Fiola's exact build at KOS 1984.

Today in the post arrived the correct yellow Shotgun seat, the gold cycle pro seat clamp and the correct Original GT padset.

It cost me a fortune but it is now done. Phew. :smitten:

I bought my pads from a guy in OZ. MEGA DOUGH!!!!! :uglystupid2:

Ive been speaking to Pete Quad today and the difference between the GT repro pads and the genuine pads are the writing of the SANTA ANA CALIFORNIA. On the real ones the print is thin and on the repro it is thicker! Also pointing out the obvious the foam is grey/black on the repro whereas yellow on the genuine ones. The main downtube pad is smaller on the fakes and the foam on the stem pad is white foam where the real ones are white/yellow.

Just so you know!  :LolLolLolLol:

Nick hi mate. What i've noticed is the original ones the colour blue is much lighter and it is different material, whereas the new ones do look like re-pops, the older printing looked far cooler, but I guess that's harder to replicate ;)

SWIVEL.......havent felt and compared the texture of the pads yet. The detail of the real ones are far better.
