Title: Rear metal hub tuf help please.

Ive got a pair of metal hubbed tufs that have just turned up. How do i put a freewheel on it and what one do i need?

you sure it ain't a left over freewheel from where someone couldn't get it off so resorted to breaking it off ?

Yeah, that looks like it could be the guts of an old freewheel. Does it still "freewheel" (turn) or is it just a fixed lump on there?

Changed my mind, i think  :-\ it's a early cassete hub. you can get a rear cog and snap ring for it. occasionally on us ebay.

It still turns.

I cant get hold of the bloke in the states who i bought them off.

I remember him saying about it needing a clip?

They are NOS so they havent been messed with!

If it still freewheels, then its like 2020mad says.  :daumenhoch:

You need a toothed ring and a Cir-clip type ring. Its like an early cassette style where you can chance the number of teeth without changing the freewheel mech. I dont expect it will be that easy to get the bits for it  :-[

I think i may have a sprocket but not sure about the clip

Local Bike Store Nick, there's one in Walton on Thames, East Street Cycles that should have one and it's not too far from you  :daumenhoch:

I am sure i have a spear ring clip that you can have if you want. or if you want to try i can lend you the whole lot clip and free wheel so you can try it on or have a play i will have to take it of my rear white wheel though :daumenhoch:

rinis have em i got one from there last year was about 16dollars shipped with freewheel and clip
