Title: riding home to get fitter..........
Post by: macky on July 14, 2008, 02:25 PM

In a bid to get a fitter to ride more and hopfully a bit better....

I've been riding home from Rampworx and anywhere else i ride!! ( usually get taxi's everywhere! )

So riding home last night, after sessioning Obbie's garden halfpipe...  ( at least 8 miles! )

got halfway home... and my chain SNAPPED whacking my knee on the stem as i flew over the bar's in the road!!  :-[   heehee!!

Yep, all things break, we know... BUT....

Three snaps in 6 months.....   i think its time to buy a different brand chain!!

Why would you get a chain with holes in the links????

Thats gotta be asking for trouble aint it?

thats strange as ive been using one of those kmc light chains for well over a year now with no probs, why not try a shodow conspiracy half link chain, my mate has run one for ages and has landed on it quite a few times and its still going strong

always clumped me knee or face planted
went over to the khe pro collapse and never had a prob with it
its not lite but does the job

Er..... yeahhh... it was in a bid to shed as much weight as possible from the bike...  :-\
