I recently bought some old school blue Dia Compe brakes from the US, but I'm not sure what tech the levers are.
Please can someone tell me?
Cheers in advance!

they arent they are pre bent levers
-
they are called pre bent levers , maybe the 1st dia compe BMX lever so although i have never heard them called this a Tech 1,although i would imagine the first was not bent
a few diff types of pre bents were made this one is a 45 degree one
and looking at the code on the inner bit of the clamp it was made in 1981
and the odd colour clamp was factory , but i have only ever seen them from the USA with the odd colour clamps so maybe this one was bought from there originally
god i need to get out more lol

they're tech one's - they came available in straight and angled (bent one's!) tech 2's were the ridiculous two finger shaped things, tech 3's were great just long enough and not overly complex, strong and light. after that came all those silly locking jobbies for floor tricks.
hope this helps....

Just pre bents
never ever heard them refered to as a Tech lever
although they were before Tech II's :)

I've never heard of a Tech 1 either ... what would they have named the pre bent 45 degree lever then ???
They were always known as the DC pre bent lever ... Shimano made a similar design too :daumenhoch:

looks like the others are right, they are not spec'd as tech levers, just purely known as bent levers, and a part no...in two different angles, 20 and 45 degree
