could do with some dx pedals doing. :daumenhoch:
-
Paul what about the the quick release bit? does that have to come off?
-
thats the problem with anodising calipers, you can not get all the hardwhere off without damaging it :'(
-
hey mate

-
Hi Mate,
How much to do a set of mx1000's, Tech 3 levers and a set of DX pedals?

you cant anodise these pedals because of the crap ali they use thats why there are all silver or painted. have tried before and they come out a mucky grey colour. so sorry i cant do these pedals :(

me and an engineer have found a way of doing the brakes without damaging the quick release but i have to get a few of these brakes together to make it worth his while to do them. so i guess there will be a lot of these brakes out there that need restoring. :daumenhoch:

prices??

crap alloy? are you sure it's got nothing to do with the steel pins in them? them dx's were made with first cast alloy, not the remixed re-cycled alloy of today of dubious qualities.
-
I don't think the bearing cups come out either - they're made of steel too ::)

Sorry i will take that bit back its not crap ali you hit it there by saying CAST ALLOY thats why there dont anodise very well. cast alloy is very hard to colour after anodising, like engine casings on motorbikes there are the same sort of material and most of these are painted. the steel pins will drop out in the process so yes and no it will effect how they go.

I think you need to find out a price,im sure we all can ge parts anod, but can you beat the price?

I can vouch for the work. Have a look at my Quad in the BOTM July, the Tech lll's, DC clamp and Tuf Neck powerdisc done for £15. Top class job too :daumenhoch:

Shimano DX were never annodised in the first place so that's a no brainer.
So how much per caliper then Paul, and you say you need multiple sets does that mean all in the same colour or you just need a few to make it worth the punt?
I need a set done in gold but now is not a good time with our big summer meet in three weeks.
-
what about dia compe 890s? Can you do those too now?
-
I'll vouch for Paul's work, top notch :daumenhoch:
If I was still in the UK I'd have a few parts winging their way up to CustomParts to get done that's for sure :daumenhoch:

they can be any colour on my part but its for the engineer he doesnt want to be doing odd ones now and again but i know its going to be difficult to do it that way. this is why im asking if people are interested. my timing is never perfect so i can sort it out after the summer meet. in the next few weeks i will put a new price list up on here if thats ok by you (modorator) with all we can offer and do with pictures to show what we have done in the past. i dont want to upset anyone on here so let me know if you object to the price list or our services
i forgot to add a price. £20 for the pair (calipers)

Paul has done many many bits for me including rims, seatposts, alloy forks, stems and even a frame!
Top quality work, and very very good prices too. Go for it I say!
-
paul does top quality work, which is hard to find these days :4_17_5:
-
:daumenhoch:THANKS GUYS :daumenhoch:
-
just got some stems back from paul, not the quickest ::) but his work is fooking awesome
-
Pauls work is top notch, done loads for me and everything has turned up real nice
-
How do you cope with steel shaft on stems? I,ve got quite a few bits that I would like done with no real time constraints, would it be best to send them to you, with my colour choice, and wait till you get enough from others for the engineer to do a batch?
If the quality and service are good I'm sure it would be worth the wait.
