Firstly can i thank you all for the comments about my riding/ result
for Dagenham ( someone had to do something about Jon + Keith ;) )
I have finally got rid of the gremlins on my pc so only just gone through
the thread anyway back to subject this last race will be nuts for everyone
involved 2 points between 1st and 2nd 3 points between 3rd and 4th there
will even be a fight for top 8 cant wait, think i heard darren say it was his 40th
on the Sat dont drink to much mate, finally my arm has just started to stop
hurting just glad as it could have been alot worse.

I think (hope) i've got rid of the gremlins with my gating at daggers & will come out with all my guns blazing at Bournemouth so get training lads i want a real fight from all of you!! :2gunsfiring_v1:
-
I didn't think many would be up for Bournemouth being the last race of the season, also with only the top 5 scores counting didn't think it'd make much difference in the points.
Looks like I was wrong LOL
Gonna be a bit of a mad one for the last regional of the season!
So who is going then?
-
Im not going to be able to make the last round now :(. Had an accident at the weekend at work. Im off work and in lots of pain. I slipped and fell bout 6ft and landed on a bent metal plate on my back, just to the right of spine. Doctors have told me it is just muscel damage, but i can hardly move at the moment. :'(
Hope to be fit and well in time for the Brits :2gunsfiring_v1:
-
Bloody hell.
Hope you're not in too much pain!
40+ is gonna be massive at the brits!
-
darren hope you get well soon you will be missed at bournemouth. :'(

Oh no mate!! Gutted for you, sounds just like the injury i got last year when i flipped over the bars at a dragon DH race landed on a cut off tree stump with the base of my spine!! Agony!!
Why dont you come down to watch anyway, sure we'll all wish you a happy birthday.
Get well soon!! Hurry back, racing wont be so 'interesting' without you!!! ;)

Get well soon Darren. It's a real shame that a poxy work accident is going to stop you doing battle with Kev at the last round for the No.3 plate.
-
Lots of battles to be settled at B'mouth on Sunday.
Jon -v- Keith for No.1
Phil could move into the 4 spot if he gets a good result.
Phil -v- Matt for the No.5 plate if Phil doesn't get the result he needs to overtake Darren
Roonga -v- Lee Harrison for the No.9 plate
At the start of the day I was the only one with nothing left to play for as I seem to be safe in the 8 spot. But now that Darren is injured, Kev is also safe in the 3 spot. Perhaps me and Kev will be the spoilers on the day ;)
-
Genuinly gutted for you Darren it would have made the last final
really interesting as we needed to beat each other for 3rd
and Jon and Keith will both be going for it big time, hope
your healed for the brits we want as many South 40+ in that
main as possible.
-
Roonga -v- Lee Harrison for the No.9 plate
Mike I thought that I would be 15th, hows the possible 9 plate work??????
-
Mike, dont you mean, Lee Allen v Roonga

Cos you're currently in 14th on 102.5 points but have only done 4 rounds. So if you score (for the sake of argument) 25.5 points (your rough average for this season) you'll have 128 points which will leapfrog you to 9th or 10th place (depending on Roonga's results) cos the people in 9th, 10th, 12th and 13th aren't doing B'Mouth.
Only best 5 results count, so all your points at Bournemouth will be added to your current 102.5. The rest of us who have already done 5 rounds will only score points if we better our current 5th best result.

No mate, see above ^
Lee Allen aka Spillers is going to MK instead.
-
Mike this is good news, gives me something to aim for. Providing I dont end up on my arse that is. See you Sunday.

Bonjour Daviid,
Yeah, come along. pics at Bournemouth come out really good because the track surface is almost white & when its sunny makes a perfect backdrop, sometimes its hard to believe the pics from there arent taken in California or somewhere!! ;)
Def need a cheer as Jon will be hard to beat there as its his home track!!!
Travis & Renée will love it if you bring the pics buddy!
Hope to see you then.
Keith

All sorted...thanks Paul
Oh and see you all thier...woo woo !!
-
Should be fun, and I have a sneeky feeling there'll be a few more there than we have been thinking. (Last points to be made etc.)
I was hoping to be able to roll around and still get 8th on the day to give me a top 10 plate for the series, but looks like I'll have to fight for any extra points.
See ya Sunday!

Hope not as grand prix is hard work, you have to go for it in four motos!!! :-[

8 definites/regulars so far (Jon, Keith, Phil, Kev, Lee H, Roonga, Matt & Me), plus any others who turn up (e.g. Tony Slater, Mark & Ady from Groove, Mark Harrop, Gary Gray).

oh! so that means im coming then mike.....see ya there then :2funny:

I hope to be there. Just about to go to Andover for their first club race to check the hand injury out. Still hurt when I went out and done 45 miles on the road bike today, (mind you some roads are bumpier than BMX Tracks).

I knew you'd be there Phil. One of the few ever presents this season and still in with a shout at Regional No.4 :daumenhoch:

Hey Keith, its not the pain I was worried about, but the ability to hold onto the bike. Anyway, its was fine for jumpin the first strait, but no good for manuals down the 3rd, (andover)... Mind you a 2 more days of healing shoud be fine. Look forward to seeing you all agian. May be camping over Sat night as well, for Saturday fun, and eveing beer with fast lane.....
Matt.

Thanks for your good wishes chaps. So gutted im not going to be there this sunday. Im on stronger pain killers now, cant drive even if i wanted to come and watch. worse of all i cant even have a drink on my Birthday >:(.
Its been a really good close contest this year with the placings changing every meeting, glad i could be part of it. Hope you all have a good race meeting sunday and see you all soon.
Darren
-
So how did you guy's get on today.
I heard Rooonga had another crash :(
-
Who raced today?
-
Darren. Kev did not race as ill, but was there unhappily watching. The unofficial order I think will be.
1. Jon
2. Keith
3. Phil
4. Me
5. Lee H
6. Mike
7. Roonga
BAsically means no chnages in position as I see it, in the top 8 but I think Lee has pinched 9th on the last race of the season.
Good day, but shame about only 7 riders....
-

We will have to wait and see!!
If he did pip me to that position, it will by the tiniest of margins.
Can't wait for the results to go up.
edit - had a look, and think Lee might have done it now.
how gutted am I? Kept relatively injury free all season (Other than being taken down at Andover) to come off twice at Bournemouth, then get over taken in the points too.
DOH!
-
Hay MR Wilson you got wings!!!
Hope enjoyed the CD...

I love you Dave! ;)

Great pic Halfords Turbo! Keith stealing a wheel to the first jump in a Relentless Dialled Bikes sandwich :daumenhoch:
Really enjoyed Bournemouth track. Some big jumps but not that scary to try jumping. Bill Stupp would've loved it!
-
Points are all up now!!
I ended up with 10th overall - so gotta be happy with that after all the cr@p I've had over the last 3 years.
-
Nice one Paul. Considering the injuries you've had over recent years I'd say to finish a full season and get a top 10 regional ranking in a stacked class is a major achievement :daumenhoch:
I don't want this regional season to end, it's been so much fun.
But with the riders moving up next season we should have semi finals at every round, so that's something to look forward to.
-
Yeh - next year's gonna be mad!
Really looking forward to it!
We also got the brits coming up - so us BMX South boys gotta get it on big time to show these other regions how it's done! LOL!
Wonder how many 40+ there'll be at the brits? Should deffo be the biggest turn out for any race I've been in...
