Title: too hot to ride?
Post by: kev-s on July 27, 2008, 05:25 PM: went to the skatepark today around 2pm and damn it was hot! after an hour of riding in shin pads, knee pads, gloves and a lid i was boiling and couldnt ride anymore, i hope it cools down in the week as the park is only open from 12 till 6 due to school hols so no nice cool evening rides :-[ :-[ :-[

gonna go for a ride along the seafront tonight and cool down with a nice beer or two 8)

Post by: dialledbikes on July 27, 2008, 11:09 PM: It was scorching at Herne Bay today. Rode there for about 4 hours, downed 2 litres of water and a can of Relentless. Still a good (but sweaty) session.

Post by: nee on July 28, 2008, 04:38 AM: We moved from not-so-sunny Cornwall to Lara (nr Melbourne) last year.......and jeeeez does it get hot here!

On New Years Eve it got up to 43 degs....and STILL there were people riding the little local park here. I guess you get used to it, but during the summer i can only ride from about 7pm.
Winter however is really good here as there's not much rain and it's about 14 degrees...perfect for an Englishman!!! :D
