Hi all. While Lucie was taking it easy and resting, I thought i'd finish this up. I painted the stem and skyway pegs myself (with green gloss plasticote) on the friday night and I have to say, I was impressed myself with the finish, looks like powdercoat! Anyway yesterday I finished assembling the parts and here you have it, my survivor Ammaco Freestyler.
I bought this a good while back and it has the best survivor chrome i've ever seen, its spotless really and very shiny. It has the original Green decals on it too. Thanks to everyone who parted with their goodies for me to complete this build i.e. Joe (wheels, brakes), Rob (seat), Dom (pegs), Marc (grips) etc... and before you say anything, the stickers are supposed to be on that way round i.e. seat tube and headtube, check the museum as there are a couple of others like that... it seems Ammaco didn't always correctly fit their decals.... ::) nevermind, I hope you like it! Here are the parts :D
- Original Ammaco Freestyler frame/forks/bars with original decals
- Dia compe MX 1000 brakes with tech 4 levers and dia compe cables with green tuff pads
- Skyway tuff 2 wheels with skyway pegs (rear) and suntour axle nuts (front)
- Tuf neck chainwheel, bubble script Mongoose crank, Sharp BB boot with GT pedals
- Re-painted Suntour seat clamp
- Re-painted Redline Forklifter stem with Tange headlock and Tioga headset
- Tioga FS Kashimax seat with Tioga layback seat post
- Green AME tri grips
- Green Haro Tyres
It does feel very solid and certainly one bike I would have loved to have owned BITD.
Cheers,
Matt :daumenhoch:
