Does anyone use this track other than the p1ssed up chav's I've met down there, its allways empty :-\
-
I think it shows what are small sport we are when one of the best tracks in the country is hardly used :(
-
I've had some spare time last week and I went down last Wednesday (gate practice nite) and no one turned up !!!! there was a guy there in a Grey/silver A3 who'd been waiting an hour for someone to turn up to do the gate........
I went there again on Thursay/Saturday/Sunday Evening and nothing.............is it the same at other tracks ?

PROGRESS REPORT...
I rode at the wonderful chesterfield track last week, it has had a bit of maintenance since the last time i went. The lips have been straightened and squared and some bits have had a surface dressing. All in great nick.
Pity the rain of the last few days.
I will be back as soon as things dry off a bit.

Chesterfield is a great track, one of the few remaining 'old skool' tracks that hasn't been ruined by the new style of track design.
There was a well turned out regional race earlier in the year, unfortunately it's a very small club so practice nights can be quite quiet but it's one of my favorites for a session, unfortunately recovering from injury at the moment so having to give riding a miss. :(

Too far for me, but has anyone got any pics?

Still a good track, totally different layout to the '80's one.............Nasty first berm though, broke my collarbone there in June 2013!!!

This was the first track I raced on when I started racing again in 1999-2000. It was the old track then with the massive drop off in the middle into a really fast right hander. John Hearn had just returned from the worlds where he had finished 8th ( I think) and I was next to him in the final. I was right behind him at the drop off and 2 wheel drifted into the corner cus I was going so fast and a guy came inside me and pushed me off the track, cant remember his name but he used to do fire breathing tricks for the kids at nationals.

I will be there on monday afternoon for some skids and wheelies.
-
And there's a regional race there next Sunday! Vets!!

The Renegade Bmx crew (fb group) will be at Chesterfield today. They're on a road trip today starting at Manfield, then Chesterfield then onto Bolehills. Woulda been there myself but had an off at a Heywood last week. :'(
Great weather for it too. :)
I'll post some pics of Chesterfield later. :daumenhoch:
