There will be a lot more threads with this title next year though. ;)

Ya cheeky bugger, we might share the same birthdate but you're a year older.  :LolLolLolLol:

Most of 40+ will be nearing their pensions by the time I get to it.  :LolLolLolLol:

Seriously though if I'm as quick at 40 as some f them I'll be well chuffed.

I think a fair few old schoolers will be riding in 30-39 next year so it'll definetely be another top class to watch, especially with Bernie moving up to 40+.

Not a chance mate, I can't wait to give up the old school now and focus on new school. I think you'll be surprissed at how well I cope. I think you always pull something special out of the bag when you step up a class.

Yeah but now your on a new school cruiser you have to start jumping too, there`s no excuses  :-\

Looking forward to seeing you South Region 30-39'ers raving about your class next season as us 40+ do this year cos it will mean the sport is on the rise.  30-39 should be one of the best classes, but it's a bit low on numbers this year.

I think you'll do well Zippy, as would most of the top 4 or 5 guys in old school.  You'll have some good battles with the likes of Mark Barden, Justin Esson and Co.  I hope Darren Pritchard comes back next year as well as he's got an awesome gate/first straight, just needs to keep it going past the first berm!

Glad to see you're committing to new school otherwise we might have started calling you a sandbagger if you'd done another year in old school  ;)

But 40+ will still be where it's at  ;)  Lots of good riders moving up next year like Steve Price, Roy Binks, Bernie Schaale - will be even harder for us to make A-finals and I think we will get semi-finals every regional next year.

My new school 20 is up for sale, my Robby is broken up and up for sale, will be hopefully joining the cruiser boys, if it's no fun then will stick to parks
Might be awhile before full fitness though as on my last hospital visit they said there is a big gap in my radial bone on my right arm that might not join up, so talk of bone grafts from hip/leg to arm :10_2_12:

you hit the nail on the head, after months of getting the missus to allow me to build a budget racer, was getting worried...even though i have been starting to sow the seeds that if o/s goes regional, i may want to try cruiser or masters at club level?

was starting to think it was just gonna be me and Sonic!

Will be interesting to see how much, Think I'm going to break it though rather than sell complete. will let you know how I get on once I get round to cleaning and stripping it :daumenhoch:

I'll still be supporting OSS next year where poss, it's just to much fun to stay away

anybody updating to '09 rides this year, and selling their current ride, have now tried Wolfy's and Jazzyje's 24 inches and both put a nice smile on my face :4_17_5: would like to give it a go, but not the whole season, so looking for a very cheap ride, not particularly worried what it is as long as geometry feels right, so if your upgrading let me know, cheers, Neil.

Don't know which age group is seen as faster/more competitive, but if it was seen that 30-39 was then i suppose you'd look at it like a 12yo racing in 16+ ???

30-39 cruiser used to be known as elite cruiser a couple of years ago and is seen as the harder group, yes you can ride down from 40 plus, rumour has it that Bernie Schale may be staying in the group next year even though he is now forty. I think it was changed to 30-39 as numbers in that group had dropped and they believed it may have had something to do with the ELITE tag , could be an intresting year next year with you in the mix Phil (if you,re serious ) LOL

30-39 is wide open for you guys next season.  A good time to start the class.  Chris Mingo and Shane Trotter will finish top 2 (not necessarily in that order), but the rest of the places are up for grabs.

was pretty chuffed to finish 5th this year.some quick new guys coming in .mark wojonowski from brixton is very strong.a bit slow out the gate but if you make a mistake he's past you,as is mark barden who has his new track to get quick on.
zippy, you got a good turn of pace but your just not putting the time in up the bay.got the best track in the country and you play your xbox on a wednesday night.no one ever got quick zapping martians.neil grants coming back so we can all get used to the sight of his butt anyway.my last year in 30/39 next season so in therory my best chance at finishing higher up than 5th.we'll see though.

Glad you have noticed my terrible gates Justin! I tried a easier gear at the brits and I was still painfully slow. I will try and get some serious time on the gate at Brixton before the southern champs. Can't wait!
Whilst I am on here I should say thanks to everyone I have met this summer. You have all been very welcoming and friendly but still up for a really good scrap in the first berm!
See you all soon. Marc & Lorenzo Wojtanowski

I've really wantd to get up there a lot more often than I have this year but with the wifes work it just hasn't been possible. I will definetely be there this week though.  ;).

As soon as I've got my cruiser though I'll be up at the bay or hersden on as many free sundays as I can in order to get used to it and to re lean how to jump.  ;D

I think 180 is Chris "Dum Dum" Miller.  He was a good 16-29 cruiser rider, but not seen him for a few seasons.

Is that Phil Beer on the 2 Plate?  If so, he might have been behind you there, but I bet he was in front of you by the finish line (dunno how he does it - always manages to get through the pack and into a top 4 finish).

I don't recognise 972 or 147.

If I remember correctly that was my first or second time at Daggers after only racing at Hersden so the length of the track took me by surprise. I was dead at the third corner but had a blinding two straights.  :LolLolLolLol:

I hope Darren Pritchard comes back and races 30-39 next season.  Awesome snap and first straight, but gives up after the first berm.  If he could be arsed he would do quite well.

972 is Luke Butler CJs brother and 147 is Chris Davey, Mike Darrens sig on talk
is thewhole10metres so i dont think he even gets to the 1st turn without giving
up, rode with him alot over the last 3 years and he has got an awesome snap
would make 30-39 interesting next year if he did try a bit.

Good spot Kev!  Crikey, can't believe I didn't recognise Luke and Chris.

Totally agree about Darren P, he needs to do a bit of training (so he can get around the whole track) and it will certainly be interesting.  Wish I had his snap and first straight.  I hope Darren and Chris come back next season anyway as they're both top blokes.  If you see them at Andover, send em my regards and tell em I want to see them racing again in 09.
