Title: UKAI WHEELS 20x1.50
Post by: Swivel on August 02, 2008, 07:51 PM
Hello all. Got these lovely UKAI wheels for my next build but just noticed that that they specify 20x1.50 on the rims. Does that mean that anything over that tyre size simply will look shite? I have these lovely Panaracer Dart tyres but they are 20x2.00 in size, so I guess they will look a bit funny on them?  ???

Also do I require a different size type of inner tube or will 20x1.75 be ok?

Help! As never build a race bike before now...  :-[

Cheers,

Matt  ;)

:) I used to use 1.50 Sun rims with Tioga 1.75 tyres and tubes with no probs. Not sure if a 2" tyre will be too big ..

I used 20 x 1.75 tyres with no bother on that size rim,you may struggle fitting the type of tyre size you want to ??? maybe wrong tho, tubes up to 20x 1.75 are ok tho :daumenhoch:

As Toby says, you should have no probs with fitting a 2.0 or 2.125 tyre on a 1.5 rim; I've run them with no problems at all  :daumenhoch:.
