I think Carlo was as good as Hoffman and was the most underated rider ever. He is a legend. The first time I saw him ride he was about 13 and very small , he did a 7 foot turn down and I just thought its time for me to quit. So I did lol.
A great vid, i have thought about the Hoffman/Carlo thing in the past but they are very different riders, personally i prefer to watch carlo as i think he had a powerful dialled style, i dont want to take anything away from Hoffman but he's vert riding was sketchy in comparison to carlos.
For all the high airs carlo did bitd he very rarely bailed.
I too remember the first time i seen him ride, he was on a white performer you just knew he was gonna be something special.
Agreed he's a legend.
