I am stumped on this. I have a yella seat i want to be blue and im not confident madonna blue is gonna do it. Im thinking if i use green dye it may go blue? whatdya think guys?
-
What seat is it Dom :)
-
Dom I reckon it could go green also mate ;)
-
could you not try bleaching it for a few days first?
-
Before and after pics please. share the success. POSITIVE THINKING

Its the much revered cycle pro shotgun 1
Im $hitting myself im gonna feck it up. Oh well, there always black i suppose :LolLolLolLol:
-
if you put green dye on it it will turn green onle. yellow+ blue =green. yellow + green = green. i'm not sure if the yellow will influence the blue dye and make it green, but i'm pretty sure i know what green dye is gonna do.
-
What do you think guys, madonna blue

it's a nice seat to start fooking around with. i suppose you can allways go black if all else fails. go on, be brave >:D
-
yeah agreed JT, I could use it in black so its worth a go. Ill post results
-
Rare as fook them seats for Fiola builds.
Dont do it! :LolLolLolLol:
I know yellow Kashi's are the hardest to dye. ;)
-
It can only go one of two ways Dom ... either blue or fooked :LolLolLolLol:
The Shotgun take the dye very nicely ... have you got a decent size pan to keep things simmering over the gas ;)

I dont have a pan yet Steve, but im getting one tommorow. As Gordon Ramsey would say " if its blue its cooked, if its green its fooked" .....something like that :LolLolLolLol:
-
i fancy that will take a dye dom.
like you say....if it goes pete tong....then it goes black

Not sure i would try it
I tried to dye a white seat red, and the best i could get was a nice rich orange !!
Tried many times even on the cooker .. still orange

dom,i have done a yellow seat with blue and it came out ok,it was a bit darker but looked ok ;)
-
Thanks fella's . I have dyed the little blighter now and its done exactly what Phil said, gone blue but a darker shade. Not too bad, i may offer it up to the bike in question and see how it looks .......then its going black if it looks shite

It was pretty tight (as the vicar said to the nun) :LolLolLolLol:
I put them in a big placcy bucket from Homebase and poured the used blue water over them as they only needed a little bit of attention and no boiling up

Dylon should work wonders on that seat Gary ... this is the colour you're likely to get using Madonna Blue :daumenhoch:
